A small message of encouragement from someone who has retook the A Levels

This is the time of our lives where we stumble, make mistakes and are still in the process of figuring things out, so it's perfectly alright to not have everything sorted out

To whoever reading this, I just want you to know that I am so proud of you for even getting this far. It doesn’t matter if you have decided to retake or not. please know that this is not the be all or end all. You are still so so young and you really have your whole life ahead of you. This is the time of our lives where we stumble, make mistakes and are still in the process of figuring things out, so it's perfectly alright to not have everything sorted out. The most important thing right now is for you to not give up !

Just some tips for those who are retaking:

1. Having a schedule is really important! Since you are on your own, you need to have control of your time and maximise it to you potential. Don't make the mistake of setting an unrealistic timetable that would be difficult for you to follow which will just end up discouraging you. Set a comfortable yet intense pace so you dont burn out and can complete studying what you need to !

2. Now is the time to be shameless. Anytime you have a question just ask. Don't be so scared to ask questions. It's better to make mistakes now and understand them rather than making mistakes in the exam. Another way to be shameless is to be resourceful. If you need notes from school, ask your juniors or whoever you may know who is retaking to share them with you. Try asking your teachers too if you had a good relationship with them. You'd be surprised that people are a lot nicer than you think. So really, dont be afraid to ask for help.

3. Remember to plan your break times too. Planning ur study schedule is good but you need to ensure that you have will not have a burnout too. Go exercise, go karaoke, go for a picnic or something. Don't forget to socialise a bit ok ?

4. Don't give up ! It's not the end 💓 There's only going up from here !

Sending love over to you - I believe in you
